Charlie's Easter Visit to Arlington

We had a great visit to Arlington this weekend to be with Andy's family for Easter. It was an excellent time! He got to have some quality time with Grandma & Paw Paw and we got to show him off to all the folks at Andy's home church. Charlie got a bottle at the beginning of the church service and then Andy had to burp him. Luckily he let out a big burp at the only quiet part of the service to let everyone know he was there. I thought that his Uncle Ted and several strangers around us would die laughing. Good times.
Charlie also got to hunt eggs and candy with his cousins Matthew and Skyler. Perhaps the most productive part of the weekend though was when we discovered that Charlie doesn't hate the swing. He just prefers the sideways swing over the front-to-back swing. Needless to say, Grandma's sideways swing now lives at our house.

Wake up daddy!!

Charlie wasn't very excited about getting his picture taken. The Easter bunny brought him a football Easter basket and a real football! I can't wait until he's big enough to play.

Charlie's special Easter cookies from Grandma. Sadly, since Charlie can't eat cookies yet I ate them for him. No sacrifice is too big for my son!

Man, Charlie will really appreciate you "taking one for the team" and eating his cookie. You are such a sacrificial mom!

I miss him! It breaks my heart to see him cry in that picture. I want to hold him and kiss him until it's all better.
