I've been away from the computer for a while and am now posting via dial-up at my parent's house outside of LaGrange, TX. It hurts, it really hurts. Great place, slow computer & Internet.
Last weekend we headed to Arlington and then to somewhere outside of Davis, OK for our little Bowman Family Vacation. It is something that Andy's mom and I have been trying to cook up for a while and it finally happened. It was an awesome time! Nine adults, a 4-year-old, three 2-year-olds, and a 5-month-old. It was tons better than it sounds! The kids were great and very entertaining--they sure did latch on to their Uncle Andy! We roughed it in two amazing cabins loaded with flat screen tv's with satellite (caught the Tech v. OU game--Wreck 'EM!! See you at the Cotton Bowl!), hot tubs, rain shower, jacuzzi tub, pillowtop beds, etc. It was on 75 acres with a stocked pond and was surrounded by the Washita River and a railway that sent trains by for the kids to go nuts over. It was SO great--I didn't want to leave!
Anyway, I'm including some pictures of the kids and a few of us bigger kids.

Andy glued his finger inside of a model rocket. He had to wait half the day before we got some nail polish remover to get the debris off. It was pretty funny--as you can imagine!

That's me kneeling with my big belly cooking hot dogs on a stick over the fire. We'll call this Charlie's first wienie roast. Good times!
The offending model rocket finally being launched by Uncle Scot, and nephews Sam & Keller. Sam is 4 years old and can read anything you put in front of him. Keller is 2 years old and will hug his brother Sam one minute and push him down the next--it's awesome. They are both beautiful, sweet kids and could easily be GAP models.
Andy is kissing on baby Anna Claire who is the best baby ever and never cries. She's very chubby--her rolls have rolls and it's awesome!

This is nephew Matthew (2 years old). He's completely awesome and, as shown in the picture, can wear my hat because we have the same cap size. He's very affirming, and when I got back in the car after a stop at the convenience store, he said, "Aunt Amy went pee pee in the potty all by herself!" Matthew always makes me feel good about myself.
Our niece Skyler (2 years old) carried around a pink volleyball all weekend and also made me feel good. Everytime I walked into the room she said, "AMY!" Everyone needs a little attention and she gave me mine.

All of them are so precious. I know Andy is going to be an awesome dad. He sure is getting a lot of practice. He'll be an old pro in no time.
Now THAT'S my kind of camping! It was a terrific weekend that was 'way too short -- but long on family fun. Thank you for your patience and internet savvy to find "our" place!
