Hope you all had a great Memorial Day! I know we did. Andy just finished up a three-week stretch full time in the NICU so he's on research time now and he gave himself the day off. I don't know the last time we were all home together with Andy totally off work and not connected to a pager. It was a great day!!
I cleaned up our back patio, scrubbed our grill and finally convinced Andy to get a propane tank so we can cookout. Charlie called it "camping." I guess that's the only time he remembers cooking outside in the recent past. Silly kid! For all you West Texas people, all that green stuff behind them is called vegetation. It grows like crazy here because of all the rain and humidity. We don't even water or have sprinkler systems or anything. Interesting concept. Also interesting is the awesome Texas wind chimes hanging just above Andy's head in the picture. Andy's mom gave them to us when we moved and I love them. Most of the time we have to move them ourselves to make them chime since there's usually very little wind. Crazy, I know. Not really an issue in West Texas.
Last, but definitely not least...Charlie latched onto this little pony while playing at a friend's house so they let us borrow it. I had to get a video of him showing his stuff. I especially love how he's trying to impress our cute neighbor, Claire. I don't know that scooting around on what is clearly a baby toy is the best way to pick up chicks, Charlie.
Please excuse my hysterical laughing and blatant disregard for my child's safety but this was funny!

Christine and I just watched that again and were laughing hysterically! I totally missed what he said about "not bleeding"! Amazing!
Love that Charlie boy! He is too precious.
Your comments about the outdoor life completely blows my mind. I can't imagine the granola world you live in
Enjoy some time with your hubby. I know the past couple of weeks have been crazy
How funny! I'm glad he wasn't bleeding :) I miss the neighborhood! And, Utahns don't know much about that kind of vegitation either, but we do know a lot about sprinkler systems! :)
I miss your laugh! Go Charlie Go! I love the fearlessness! That Claire is a cutie...
Hi,
Very cute. I love his reaction after crashing.

I'm sure Claire would have thought that Charlie was really macho had the horse on which he was performing stunts not been plush, blue and orange.
Hilarious!
Laughing along with you! So funny...
I would have laughed too! I'm glad he had a helmet on.
Charlie, you crack me up!!!!
