Not so popular, huh??
I can see that there wasn't much interest in my last post. I'm a little disappointed to realize that some of you in blogland just use me for my stories about wild animals living in my attic. Shameful.
Classes started up today -- for both Charlie and me! Yay! I think he was as happy to get time away from me as I was to have adult conversation and a bagel melt at my favorite coffee shop. Charlie made me sing "the map" song from Dora about a million times this afternoon. Stinkin' Dora!! Then I made the mistake of finding it on YouTube and showing it to him, mainly so I didn't have to sing it anymore. Now I can't get on the computer or he yells "MAP" repeatedly and gets mad. I feel this is inappropriate. I shouldn't have introduced my toddler to YouTube.
My twin sis, April, sent me a picture of herself in the mail so I can put it on the fridge and quiz Charlie everyday so he will learn who she is. Foolishly, she lives a few states away from God's Country so we have to resort to this tactic. Anyway, I showed it to him earlier and he actually argued with me, insisting that it was Mama. I'm not sure if it's the Y chromosome or the fact that he's just a toddler that caused him to overlook the fact that the person in the picture is 30 pounds lighter than Mama. Sadly, I was flattered that he thought it was me.
I have crazy connections to two students in my class this semester. The first is a guy who was in my church youth group when I was in high school. This may not be weird for some local folks, but our home church is 8 hours away in a tiny town that most people have never heard of. It's extremely odd that a peer from my home church would be a student in my class. He should enjoy all the stories that I tell about my crazy family (Mom!!). Anyway, I'm glad we never dated. That would be awkward. The other student is from Alaska. One of her youth group leaders was one of my best friends in college. In fact, she's the friend who hooked me up with Andy. They went to high school together. I just visited her over xmas while she was visiting her family. Now one of her youth group kids is in my class. Small world.
Lastly, anyone watch American Gladiators? I used to watch it all the time when I was in high school. This one isn't as good -- too much talking. Question: If you could bring back one show (new episodes) that you watched during your childhood/high school which one would it be?

Beverly Hills 90210 for sure.
P.S. You're dumb.
Okay, Amy, I'll comment. Poor Baby, feeling neglected? Funny Melody is your first one to leave a comment. I wrote her a poem for her birthday. Did you know? Just wondering! What was your post about again? My memory is jumping rope again. Sorry about that. Okay, I revisited your post. First of all, you'll have to teach us how to sing the map song it sounds like before we come and babysit next month. But of course, he enjoys my made up songs I sing to him, but sounds like he is being a little one tracked mind at this point. We'll see. Now where in the world could he have gotten one of those kind of minds? I have to go back to reread the post once more. Really sorry about this. Ah, picture of April and Charlie not believing it's you. That is pretty funny. You need to put a picture of yourself beside April. Then chant, "April, Mommy, April, Mommy." Did Jeremy know you? Um, Charlie's Angels and Dukes of Hazard. The movies ruined the originals all those years ago.
Mom??!! Don't make me set ground rules for comments.
Good one, mom.
90210, Saved By the Bell, or the Cosby Show.
I love to read your blog, I am just to lazy to comment. The Cosby Show and Jag.
I'm already getting my wish...Knight Rider is back! They're changing KITT to a mustang and bringing back the Hoff. :) Awesome!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5V9Fkgtc4Y
i was obsessed with Brady Bunch growing up . . . how weird is that! i watched it every afternoon after school. as an adult i watched all the reruns once again on TV Land. i've probably seen the episodes at least 10 times each . . .
Jennifer
Saved By The Bell for sure! And Amy, if it makes you feel any better- I noticed in a stupor this morning as I got ready for class that my Christmas tree is still up as well. And I'm not really in too big a hurry to take it down either! It's so much fun to see the videos of Charlie!
I love Charlie's laugh!! That brought a smile to my face.
I would say Saved By the Bell for the tv show. I also liked Press Your Luck (game show). I did like Gladiators, but you're right, it wasn't as good as the old one.
The Cosby or Silver Spoon show for sure. And I will throw up if Saved by the Bell comes back.
Crazy about your small world! I'd give the guy from LG an "A" just so you don't have to worry about skeletons coming out of the closet from your student body president days...
Saturday morning cartoons...seriously, like The Smurfs and such. and of course, I'd love to see Friends reunite...or maybe America's Funniest Home Videos w/ Bob Saget...oh, um, just kidding.
Obviously I'm behind on reading your blogs...but who is this student from Alaska?? Email me....
Oh ya, and did I really set you up with Andy? Refresh my memory...
Jenny
