HAPPY HALLOWEEN / 11 YEARS!!

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Growing up in a small town meant that Halloween brought trick-or-treating without worry, family-friendly spook houses & costume parties, water balloon fights, toilet papered houses, various activities with eggs, etc. I loved it!!

I still love Halloween but for different reasons. I love dressing Charlie up, taking him to fall festivals, showing him off at Andy's work, and seeing him try to figure out what this Halloween stuff is all about.

The other reason why I love Halloween is because it is the anniversary of mine and Andy's first date. Today marks eleven years! On our first date we had dinner at Cahoots and went to see The Changeling at The Paramount, which is a Halloween tradition in Abilene. Apparently this is the 15th year that they're showing it, which means that we saw it in its 4th year. Crazy. I feel old. Anyway, to mark the occasion I found The Changeling on DVD and we plan on watching it tonight. It's crazy how much things have changed since that first date. We had no idea that we'd be here now, but we're very thankful that we are!

Andy was a monk for Halloween and Charlie was "Dr. Bowman."

Charlie had fun in the bounce house at our church's fall festival.

I made this scarecrow for our fall festival. Charlie went with us to the Tech game this weekend to watch the Red Raiders lose.
