PULL OVER!
That's what Andy said when I got a phone call six weeks ago. We were driving to take Charlie to a jumping place when my twin sister April called.
April: Can you receive pictures on your cell phone?
Me: I have no idea. (I just use my phone to talk.)
April: Can Andy?
Me: I don't know, why?
April: I want to send you a picture.
Me: Of what?
April: Baby Lyda.
Me: What? What do you mean?
April: I want to send you a picture of my baby.
Me: WHAT?? ARE YOU SERIOUS??
April: Yes. I just got out of my eight-week appointment. We heard the heartbeat.
Me: OH MY GOSH!! (Cut to me crying histerically like an idiot while trying to drive.)
Andy: PULL OVER, PULL OVER (I think he thought someone had died.)
This is huge, not just because I'm going to be an aunt again. April & Jason started trying to get pregnant over three years ago. During that time I had two miscarriages and Charlie, and our older sister, Misti, had one miscarriage and Landon (two weeks older than Charlie). April's had to watch friend after friend have their first (and even second) child. There's been endless blood tests, temperature monitoring, pills, etc. It's been a painful three years. That's over now. Now they've chosen names, she's surveying her maternity clothes options, and I'm shoving nursery ideas down her throat. I don't think I've ever been happier for a pregnancy, except my own of course. And to think their little peanut decided to come along when they'd decided to "take a break." I love how that happens!

That is wonderful news! I am so happy for them.
YAY for Baby Lyda! I am so glad April started a blog.
That is great news! We'll be watching, waiting, and praying. I think it would be very nice of you to give Baby Lyda a cousin the same age to grow up with.
