I was tagged by my friend Allyson to list 8 things about myself that you may not know. It's really hard for me to think of anything but I'll try.
1) I love the smell of skunk. It makes me think of home. :)
2) I read all of Andy's pediatric journals and magazines that come in the mail. I bet I know more about pediatric medicine than most other sociologists. I'm a nerd, but you probably already knew that.
3) My gums are really receded because I used to brush my teeth really hard 5-6 times a day. Now I always have to use toothpaste for sensetive teeth, an extra soft toothbrush and brush only twice a day. I wish I would brush them more often!
4) I love John Wayne. He makes me think of my dad & grandaddy, since they always watched John Wayne movies when I was growing up. My favorite John Wayne movies are Hellfighters, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, and North to Alaska. This is also why I named Charlie's first teddy bear "Duke."
5) I was on the UIL Science team in high school. I chose this activity because it involved taking a multiple choice test and getting to miss school for UIL meets.
6) I have no idea why cats exist other than to have half of the human population love them and the other half hate them.
7) My neighbor's dog chased me down and bit me on the rear when I was a kid. I was terrified of everything canine after that. I'm over it now. (Sisters, comment on this and die!)
8) When I was younger I used to be deathly afraid of aliens and UFOs because of all the science fiction movies my dad watched. I was terrified that I'd get abducted by aliens from my bedroom at night. I'm over that, too.

ummm. WOW! I learned a lot about your past which is helping put things together for me now about your personality. Hmmm, skunks, cats, dogs, and John Wayne.....hmmmm
I didn't know any of that about you!! Wow!! Skunk smell, huh?
I think it was the little black poodle that chased you around the van that made you scared of dogs. I couldn't resist :)
Melody beat me to it! :(
We sure have a lot of trailer/country kind-of-memories! Not everyone can say that! Was it possums or raccoons we'd watch out of the kitchen window at night when they would come on the patio and eat the cat's food? Yes, the neighbor's black dog, Blackie, I believe was his name sure was a mean one. Frito, our back neighbor's dog was on our sidewalk Sunday morning and Jordyn wouldn't go outside by herself, so Granddaddy took her out on his 3 wheeler, and what a vicious dog he is. I think he might have lifted his left eyebrow a quarter of an inch when he saw all of us as he laid there, the rest of him statue-like.
Oh, mom. And who doesn't have time to post on her own blog??
