So, I don't really feel the need to post about Grey's. I think we're in agreement--wasn't all that great but we're still in love. McDreamy sure has come a long way since "Can't Buy Me Love." I may have to pop in that VHS today for old times sake, although it's about worn out since I've had it since the seventh grade.
This week I've experienced some firsts. I went to my first "Stampin Up" party. I have stayed away from these things and anything remotely resembling them for the simple reason that I've been afraid that I'd get sucked in and spend too much money. Looks like I was right--I did get sucked in and I did spent too much money. At least now I know that my instincts were correct.
Last night I went with some friends from church to a pottery place. Many thanks to Kristin and Ashley for humoring me when they really weren't feelin' it! I painted a plate that says "It's my special day" to use for Charlie (and Andy if warranted) on his special days, ie birthdays, first day of school, good grades, etc. We'll see how it turns out. If it's cool I'll post a picture and if not I'll deny the thing ever existed.

I think I've inhaled half of New Mexico today and I haven't even left my house. We're having a crazy dust storm and I feel like it's creeping into my house and clogging my brain. I can smell the dirt in my nose and I'm even getting a headache from my dust-saturated sinuses. Ok, I'm sure I'm just being paranoid, but if you've ever looked out your window and seen the sky turn orange with dirt you know what I'm talking about. It's disgusting.
Uh oh, I hear that my baby buddy is awake. I'll type a little longer to see if he's really serious or just making noise. Charlie's favorite thing to do right now is to stick his finger in someone else's nose. It started when we were teaching him "eyes, ears, nose, mouth..." He's just really infatuated with the nose though. At first it was funny and cute but now it's a little annoying especially since he can be pretty sneaky about it. He's also taken to smiling and shaking his head "no" as he's doing something he's not supposed to be doing, like dropping his food from his highchair. Oh man...
One last thing. I'm flying by myself with Charlie in a few weeks and I'm not sure how it'll work. I need to take a stroller and his carseat. I plan on checking his carseat and our luggage and gate-checking the stroller, but I don't have one of those travel bags to put the carseat in. Having had bags badly damaged in transit, I don't want to just check the carseat without putting it in a bag. Has anyone out there dealt with this? Any suggestions?
This picture cracks me up. What's that face? Look at all that chub!

Those thighs are great! I want to squeeze them. I love chubby babies.
About the carseat problem - anytime I have flown Southwest, they put my carseat in a bag for me. I'm not sure how other airlines work, but I bet if you ask for one - they will do it for you. Oh - and I hear you on the dust storm. IT was bad here yesterday too - my eyes still hurt.
Oh gracious. I had to show Ken the chubby picture! Awesome! What's stamping up? (or don't tell me, b/c you know how I feel about all that stuff too...)
As for the packing, call 1800 I FLY SWA and see what they tell you about the bag. ( I assume you are putting food on the Murrays' table by flying THE BEST airline.) I think they will put them in bags for you, but you'd better double check.
No kidding about the dust storm. It was out of control here too. Love the chubby legs! Casen is scrawny -- he needs to borrow some of that chub. Good to know he has a friend in the toothless-one-year-olds club!
He is so stinkin' cute! Love him.
I have a carseat bag w/ rollers if you want to borrow it! It has worked really well for me.
Have you cleaned your windows sills yet? Disgusting!
