WHY?

The other day I went to Wal-Mart and was amazed yet again by the mix of human kind that comes together daily for the sake of convenience and low prices. A lot of what I see everytime I go to Wal-Mart makes me think, "Why?". Some things that I saw:

1. A two-year-old little girl in a stained toddler-sized Hooters tank top. #1: DON'T own a Hooters shirt let alone put one on your child. #2: Why do toddler-size Hooters shirts even exist?
2. A young woman walking her bike through the store while shopping. No, it wasn't a bike she was planning to purchase. It was her old beat-up bike that she rides around. Who let her in the store with that? Weird.
3. An 18-month-old laying in his mom's basket wearing nothing but a diaper and drinking from a baby bottle. How 'bout you put back the Oreos and Ruffles and buy your kid some clothes?
4. A rude old woman tried to cut in front of me and then challenged me on the number of items I had in the "20 items or less" line. What? Who does that?! I promptly let her know that I had exactly 17 items. Of course I counted!

On another note...have you seen the new commercials for the "M-AZING" candy bar? It's a chocolate candy bar with mini M&Ms embedded in the bar. One of the new commercials shows a chocolate bar and a pile of M&Ms next to each other in front of a fireplace with candles and romantic music. The other shows a similar scene in the backseat of a car. Then the commentary says something like "M&Ms deep inside rich chocolate..." Ok...I pretty much like chocolate in any form and I don't need a lot of convincing to eat it. I certainly don't need a commericial to not-so-subtly imply that two products are having sex to produce a new product. It's weird and inappropriate.

Ok, more pics:
I love my precious baby boy!!

Charlie's impression of Taylor Hicks. He wants Catherine McPhee to win. He thinks she's pretty.

He's up to somethin'!

Ugh...Walmart always grosses me out, but I continue to shop there b/c it's cheap! The other day I saw a 5 or 6 yr old girl walk into the bathroom BAREFOOT!!! The bottom of her feet were black!

Charlie is SO CUTE! I have to admit, I like Taylor Hicks, but Charlie does do a pretty good impersonation. Chris is my fave!!

Walmart, yeah...I hate it too. I refuse to go there even if it is cheaper!

Oh my goodness, those pictures of Charlie are great! I love the one of his impression of Taylor, Brice will get a kick out it. Taylor is his favorite!!

Landon and I are chilling here in Bastrop and checking out your blog. He smiled at his cousin's picture.

Now Jordyn has joined us, so I have two out of three of my precious ones on my lap. We sure miss Charlie and wish he could be here with us too. Love Grammy. Jordyn & Landon PS. Jordyn typed in her and Landon's names.

I too have been totally sickened at WalMart. But, as you know we don't have alot of choices around here in the ville and the Grange area. The ultimate was the other day at school the conversation went something like this, " Mrs. D did you know you can go in the bathroom at Walmart and put on new clothes and you don't have to pay for them?" I am beginning to think parents are using Walmart for "homeschool" hoodlum training techniques. Oh, and I have more but I'll spare you. Whatever you do....don't ever let Charlie communicate with any other children in there! Peer pressure starts early! Thank God he has you for a mother.....By the way. Where you as mad last night at the comments that all 3 judges made to Katherine McPhee on idol? She blew me away...I thought she was great and did a great job on that song. I got chill bumps. Of course, it doesn't take much.

I ran into a similar gathering of humanity at the dallas county courthouse last month! The hooters shirt is just wrong on all levels!

I can't get over how much Charlie looks like his Dad! He's super cute and I can't wait to meet him!
