I'm blogging real quick before I have to begin packing! Andy moved the attic and garage today, and if you've seen either one lately you know what an amazing thing that is! He also primed the football room, and unfortunately I hadn't taken pictures of it yet so it is now undocumented. Trust me though--it was pretty bad! Tonight and tomorrow we have to pack the rest of the house to be ready for the movers at 1:00 on Friday. We met Don Copeland (neighbor on the left) the other day, and we met Kristy (wife to John & mom to two-year-old Meredith), the neighbor on the right, tonight so I think we're good to go. It will be nice to have real neighbors again, although no one can replace our life-long love affair with our first neighbors, Robby, Connie, Meghan, and Nicholas. It'll never be that good again but we'll do the best we can! By the sound of things today, I think our mailman was a little hurt when he received our change-of-address notice before we broke the news. We had the official goodbye today. I hope our new mailman is as good as Tommy!

Baby Bowman Update 2005
Today I'm 26 weeks pregnant. That means 14 more Wednesdays till the due date. It also means that I start my 3rd trimester next Thursday! Can you even believe that??!! I can't! Tonight Mel made me lift up my shirt to get a good look at my belly--she can't believe it either. We both laughed at how close I am to having an outtie belly button. It's crazy. I know pregnancy is natural and all that stuff but come on--this stuff is SO weird! Don't believe all that about it being beautiful and glamorous. You have NO idea the extent to which your body does things you never thought it should/would do.
Anyway, the doctor's appointment today was smooth sailin'. I've gained about 10 lbs so far, BP is great, swelling is normal, heartbeat is great, and they verified that Charlie is brilliant, athletic, artistic, and very handsome. Ok, so maybe I'm embellishing a little, but I'm sure it's all true anyway. They did verify that he's very active. He kept kicking the wand when they were listening to his heartbeat. I think he's looking for stuff to mess with in there--maybe he's bored or something. As long as he doesn't find any matches we're fine--right Bowmans?
Doc said he's not a fan of C-sections or induction. He said my pelvis is average size, so it doesn't sound like he much cares if Charlie is a big'en! When I told Andy that I was going to ask my doc for his opinion on C-sections for big babies, he said, "He'll just tell you to push him out." Ok. I guess that's that. I never really cared for intact tissue and tailbone anyway.

OK, brilliant, athletic, artistic, and handsome -- hmmm sounds like MY grandson! Now, add in active and bored -- that sounds like my seventh graders! May I be the 99th person to tell you not to overdo on this move? Enough said!

Dang! Losers. I guess I'll have to be the one to break it to Kaitlyn. Thanks for making our little girl sad.
