So sorry if this gets old but Andy is showing no signs of weakening so here's "funny Andy story" #3 (don't think I'll ever run out!):
At the end of May we were graciously blessed with an amazing cruise down to Roatan, Belize, Cozumel, & Cancun. While the ports of call are awesome, the life on the ship is just as good. The night before our first stop in Cozumel (our 2nd night on the ship) was our first experience with the exciting onboard karaoke. I've known for some time that Andy has a true love for all things Bon Jovi and, when given the chance, will belt out his favorite tune in tribute to the great BJ. So, when Andy saw "Dead or Alive" on the title list I knew there was no turning back. I've heard Andy do this rendition on several previous occassions and I knew that he was pretty impressive, but you never really know how the crowd will respond. So after several pittiful attempts by others to win over the crowd it was Andy's turn. Up he went in his khaki slacks and blue button-down with his hair nicely combed. What happened next was nothing short of amazing. My CSPAN-loving husband turned into that ship's next rock god! People were chanting his name as they gave him a standing ovation. For the rest of the week people pointed, stared, and introduced themselves wherever we went. Eat your heart out ladies--he's my rock god!!
Baby Bowman Update 2005
My morning class, having realized that I'll be really pregnant by the end of the semester, suggested that I take it easy on myself and forgo the final alltogether. Instead, they said, they would throw me a baby shower during the scheduled final with a mandatory gift requirement in order to receive credit for the semester. I told them that I'll consider it and if my department chair approves it then it's a go. I'm sure I can make it happen--afterall, 80 students means lots of presents!!Cross your fingers!
In other news, I predict that in about 10 minutes I'll have a monstrous case of heartburn and will again seek the daily aid of my extra large bottle of Tums. Of course I'm sure I don't at all deserve it since I ate a Taco Bell burrito and a Chalupa just half an hour ago. As I explained to Andy, I really didn't want it at all--it was the Peanut and when it started kicking me I just couldn't refuse anymore. It's not my fault!

Maybe that's why I eat Taco Bell so much... hmmm... Well, it's great to see the Bowman postings. Rock on! I would pay good money to see that Bon Jovi performance...Is it anything like the video of the time Andy wore tights and did the acrobatics with the rubber ball bewtixt his legs?
Hmmmmmm . . . the things a momma can learn if she just waits for a blog!
Andy called last night to "thank me" for you starting a blog. Apparantly, it's all my fault. However, I am very glad that I have another one to read! You are a very good story teller! I have laughed out loud on more than one occasion. I would love to live in Lubbock! Maybe someday....
Continue to keep us updated on baby news! We are so excited for ya'll and pray for a continued healthy pregnancy.
I enjoyed seeing you on Monday. It was good to catch up. I am excited about Mondays! Any requests for snacks? Do you want me to bring you Taco Bell? :) Let me know!
Can I just get a YES! for baby showers and baby Bowman. Oh, and one more YES! for silly Dr. Bowman. If you could only see my hand gestures right now.
Hi, Amy!
I'm Celeste...April's friend! My husband, Noel posted a few days ago:) I enjoy your blog and I'm excited about your pregnancy. I hope it all goes well!
How are Jonathan and Holly btw? I talk with Cari a few times every week, but I haven't asked about them in a while. It's hard to keep up with everyone being so far away:(. I hope all is well and I'll be visiting your blog again!
Ah, the big heartburn!!! While carrying you and your sister, glazed donuts and kool aid were the worst, so you might want to consider staying away from those two particular delights!!!! Oh Andy, I love Bon Jovi, so I will be looking forward to a concert when we meet again!!!
