Here is a crib on which I am currently bidding on ebay. To illustrate my tips about bidding on "pick up only" items: To get this crib from Babies R Us would cost us $250.00 (price of crib on sale--$99.00 (down from $150), shipping--$100.00, plus taxes. Now, I know you're saying $250.00--that's great for a crib! I agree, but I refuse to pay more for shipping than for the product! So, I check out ebay and find the exact same crib, never used (it lived at the grandma's house), and comes with a matress. It's "pick up only" in the NW Houston Area and will meet my 'rents halfway to pick it up. Total driving time for the 'rents? Hour & 1/2. Their joy over the fact that they get to deliver Charlie's first crib during x-mas break? Priceless. Now...what's this gonna cost us for the crib & mattress? Don't know yet, but the current high bid (which is mine) is $10.50. Of course I'm willing to go much higher than that but if no one challenges me I'm going to get the deal of the century. Do you see where my ebay obsession is coming from?!

Ok, one day left on the crib and it's up to $52.50--I'm still winning and it's still a great deal. They can't take me down!
