Charlie-isms

Charlie: I want Jesus come my new house.
Me: What would you and Jesus do if he came over?
Charlie: I play puzzles with Jesus.
Me: What else?
Charlie: I build blocks with Jesus.
Me: What else?
Charlie: I want snuggle with Jesus.

It's the last one that got me. Andy has been teaching Charlie the value of a good snuggle since birth. I think he's finally got it. This morning he got his big Elmo, who he calls Daddy Elmo, and his little Elmo, who he calls Baby Elmo, and made them snuggle. He's a funny kid.

I'm not sure what to say when he talks about Jesus coming to his house. Andy said to go with, "Jesus lives in your heart." I think that might freak him out at this point. I went with, "Jesus can't come to your house because he lives in Heaven." He gave me a confused look. Tell me about it. Like he's supposed to get it when I have trouble wrapping my mind around all of it?! I think I'll just leave him wanting Jesus to come play for right now.

Looks like Charlie's parents are doing an awesome job with him. How precious he is and he just keeps getting better. Each day sounds like a new Charlie Adventure. What fun and something to look forward to. Give Charlie a snuggle for Grammy and Granddaddy please.
