I HEART OCTOBER!!

October has quickly become one of my favorite months of the year. Typically I'd say it's because of the changing weather (change, dang it, change!!), but since that's not happening I'll stick with the reasoning that I love October because of all the activities that our family has jammed into this particular month. There's Tech football (Wreck 'Em!), Bowman Family Vacation in OK, Bowman West vacation in MX (coming next week!!), Fall Festivals, pumpkin patches, Halloween costumes, and so much more! Even though I've abandoned the traditional Halloween activities of my youth (wrapping houses, throwing eggs & water balloons, etc.), it's still one of my favorite holidays and I look forward to it all month.

This past weekend was our 3rd Annual Bowman Family Vacation in Oklahoma. We've gone to the same amazing cabins for the last three years and have vowed to go back until they kick us out, which may eventually happen. There were 18 of us in all, including Andy's parents, siblings, and their various spouses and children. It was so great! We have the most precious nieces and nephews and they all love each other so much. On Saturday we headed over to Turner Falls and it was beautiful. It took everything I had not to jump right in the water. We also tried to get a picture of Charlie on one of the hundreds of haybales that were sitting around the property but he wasn't having it at all.

Monday we went to a corn maze outside of town. It was pretty incredible. Here's an aerial photo. We only did half of it and probably only made it out because they sprinkled popcorn on the correct path to give us clues. We also went on a hayride that took us out to the pumpkin patch. Charlie was more interested in the dirt than the pumpkins.
And here are the obligatory "fake" pumpkin patch pictures. Charlie loved it!
