OK--HERE IT IS--WHAT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR...
IT'S A BOY!!! Charles ("Charlie") Andrew Bowman!
We got some good pics and will post them as soon as I can get home and scan them. What an exciting day! Little Charlie is so cute in there and from what it looks like he's got Andy's feet (couldn't get a good look to check for the fluffiness of the nose!)--I'm guessing he'll be Andy's little clone judging from the strength of the Bowman genes in our nieces and nephews. That's what I want anyway!
Excitement can often be distratcing and lead to strange things, hence the following story. I recommend not doing this: Don't go to your favorite coffee shop to call every family member to tell them what you're having, then have a leisurely lunch, then can't find your car keys only to walk out and see that in your excited distraction you left the keys in your car with the door unlocked and the engine running for an hour and a half. That may qualify as the strangest thing I've ever done. I may have a new dissertation topic: "Decline of Maternal Brain Function During Pregnancy." BUT WHO CARES--WE'RE HAVING A CHUBBY SNUGGLY LITTLE BOY!

Congratulations!!! That is so exciting! I told James what you said about him having Andy's feet and he said, "I hope Kaitlyn doesn't have my feet." What? Good grief, I sure hope not.

That is hilarious that you kept your car running! That will be a story for the baby book. I am so pumped about Charlie, but mainly that there is a healthy baby inside you. God is good. We love you Baby Boy Bowman.
A LITTLE WORD FOR ANDY!!!! PLEASE, WHATEVER YOU DO IF CHARLIE IS A LITTLE LATE, DO NOT, AND I REPEAT DO NOT, WORK ON YOUR TRUCK. SPECIFICALLY, HAVE THE STEERING WHEEL OFF WHEN AMY GOES INTO LABOR.

Amy, what a blessing it was to have such a wonderful visit with you tonight. I have been encouraged, and it makes me so anxious to be farther along in my pregnancy! There's no doubt you guys made a cute little boy with a fluffy nose!
